C. Jay Byce

Mr. Byce currently manages the Southeastern office of Colony Capital, which is the 4th largest private equity real estate fund in the world with over $36 billion under management. The Southeastern office manages approximately $200 million in distressed debt which has been cycled through failed community banks. Prior to joining Colony, Mr. Byce served on management and investigation teams for several FDIC bank receiverships. His banking career dates back over 13 years with extensive credit training and real estate lending experience. Mr. Byce has also owned and operated his own bank consulting company in Atlanta, which specialized in due diligence, M&A and ORE consulting services to regional and community banks. His experience, however, is not limited just to banking. His companies have joint ventured to build and develop many projects in the southeast ranging from large mixed use residential communities to apartments and convenience stores. Mr. Byce graduated with a B.A. in International Business Finance from the University of Georgia.
