Keith Honig
Mr. Honig is Managing Director and the Head of Commercial Mortgage Lending Department for AIG Asset Management and President of AIG Mortgage Capital, LLC. Previously, Mr. Honig was the Head of Loan Administration which included responsibility for loan servicing, performance, refinances, asset management and overall portfolio management. Mr. Honig was also previously Senior Vice President and General Counsel for AIG Mortgage Capital, LLC. Mr. Honig started with SunAmerica Inc., now a wholly owned subsidiary of AIG, in 1994 as an Associate Counsel. As a member of the legal department, Mr. Honig, among other things, provided support for the investment group, worked on mergers and acquisitions, managed litigation and handled a variety of insurance regulatory matters. Mr. Honig is a Certified Public Accountant and an attorney. Mr. Honig previously practiced accounting as a manager with the accounting firm of KPMG, performing audit and tax services. Mr. Honig practiced as an attorney with the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, focusing on real estate lending, foreclosures and bankruptcy. Mr. Honig served as a law clerk to a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Nebraska. Mr. Honig previously served on the Board of Directors of Impact Community Capital.
Mr. Honig earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Southern California, a Master of Accounting degree from the University of Southern California, and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
