Roy Owen
Roy Owen has a professional career spanning over thirty years in financial services, reorganization and bankruptcy services, strategy and operations advisory, real estate, real estate capital markets, commercial mortgage underwriting and securitization, non-performing loan resolution and asset management, portfolio management, disposition of portfolios of performing and non-performing loans, commercial mortgage special servicing, public/private joint ventures, and litigation consulting. He joined Waterstone in January of 2010 where he manages the firm's CMBS special servicing group, its non-performing whole loan asset management group, and its franchise finance asset management group.
Prior to joining Waterstone, Mr. Owen managed the U.S. operations of Crown NorthCorp, Inc., and was a partner from 1990 to 2002 in Deloitte's valuation and real estate consulting group, its financial services industry practice, and its bankruptcy and reorganization services group. While with Deloitte, he relocated to Asia following the onset of the Asian Financial Crisis, where he started Deloitte Consulting's Bangkok office and worked with distressed financial institutions across East Asia.
Mr. Owen has an MBA from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
