W. Scott Callahan
Mr. Callahan is a Partner in the Real Estate Group in Roetzel & Andress' Orlando office. He practices in the areas of commercial real estate and commercial real estate related litigation, including real estate acquisition and development, financing, mortgage foreclosure and loan workouts. He has extensive experience in land acquisition and financing, development and construction matters, commercial loan workouts and foreclosure litigation. His clients include national commercial loan servicing companies, financial institutions, developers, contractors, receivers, public and private companies and private investors. As counsel, he has been involved in many significant real estate matters, including acquisition, development, foreclosure, bankruptcy and loan workouts.
Mr. Callahan has extensive experience working with CMBS special servicers and a variety of financial institutions in sophisticated and significant commercial mortgage foreclosures, receiverships, loan forbearance agreements and loan modification agreements. He has also been involved in significant transactions involving distressed loan purchases and sales, loan assumption transactions, receivership sales, REO sales and related matters.
He has been a member of The Florida Bar since 1987. He received his J.D. from the University of Florida and a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Central Florida. Mr. Callahan is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell.
