Thomas Nolan

Tom Nolan joined CWCapital Investments in 2003 as Managing Director of the company's High-Yield Debt Platform. In this role, Mr. Nolan has been responsible for growing the platform and for oversight for the real estate credit underwriting process within CWCapital Investments. Under his direction, CWCapital Investments with their investor clients control almost $2 Billion of commercial mortgages through the carious below investment grade bond purchases orchestrated by CWCapital Investments, LLC. In 2005, Mr. Nolan was integral to the purchase of Allied Capital's bond portfolio and the creation of the asset management team at CWCAM. Today, in addition to his CMBS responsibilities, Tom also had credit responsibility for CWCapital's growing Agency lending platform.
Prior to joining CWCapital Investments, Mr. Nolan worked at GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corporation (GMACCM) as Managing Director of the Real Estate Debt Investment Group (REDIG), a group that was formed to invest primarily in high-yield CMBS. In this capacity, he was responsible for the real estate credit underwriting process for the purchase of subordinate CMBS issues as well as various other subordinate debt instruments. He was also responsible for the bond surveillance operation within the group and for building a state-of-the-art database system for both the purchase and surveillance of the various bond positions within the unit. Mr. Nolan's prior positions include West Coast Regional Manager for a Fortune 500 financial services corporation and a position at a Big Five accounting firm where he was instrumental in the CMBS transactions sponsored by the RTC and private clients, and provided consulting services to financial institutions in the real estate lending and credit arenas.
Mr. Nolan also spent many years in the construction management arena from both a financial and construction viewpoint. Projects included very large public works projects as well as manufacturing and headquarters projects.
Mr. Nolan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, Business Management from Russel Sage College and is also a graduate of General Electric Company's Financial Management Program.
